The Association of Energy Conservation Professionals (AECP) is having its sixth annual Green Living and Energy Expo at the Roanoke Civic Center on October 21 and 22, 2005.
Admission to the event is free. The purpose of the Expo is to provide educational opportunities to the general public that highlight why it is important to save energy and then show people how this can be done in their home and/or business.
This is accomplished through several exhibits, demonstrations, and workshops that showcase energy conservation, energy efficiency, green building, renewable energy and sustainability.
Exhibits include water conservation, natural resource management, weatherization, solar energy, wind power, alternative fueled vehicles, geothermal heating and cooling, indoor air quality, energy efficient products and services, building science, energy efficient mortgages, green building, green products, sustainable forestry, Energy Star, land conservation, energy efficient lighting, and much more.
AECP is a non-profit energy education and advocacy organization that believes a better- educated general population is the solution to a more secure, independent, clean, and healthy energy future. People have the power to make better decisions and smarter choices in their home, business, and lifestyle that will save money, save energy, save on our natural resources, and help to preserve the environment.
Fuel prices are rising steadily, the environment continues to be at risk from unnecessary energy production and use, and the threat of global warming is increasing daily. The Green Living and Energy Expo is an opportunity for professionals, homeowners, consumers, and students to be inspired, informed and enabled about important issues that can change their lives and the lives of others.
The Green Living and Energy Expo is a non-profit, educational event whose intent is to benefit the public. Please help us promote this important educational opportunity. Thanks.
